Volunteer Opportunities at United Way Include:

Community Impact

Our volunteers learn about key issues in the community, identify unmet needs, and make funding decisions.  If you would like to become involved in helping to make a difference, we invite you to become involved as an impact area volunteer.  Each impact area consists of 25 community leaders who meet regularly year round.

Outcomes Advisory Committee

Committee members serve in an advisory and guidance capacity on outcomes-related issues and provide the necessary coordination and expertise to ensure United Way's progress with outcomes is accomplished.  The volunteers actively participate in efforts to identify and achieve key results necessary to address the community's most critical health and human service needs.

Campaign Account Volunteers

A dedicated core of community volunteers who are responsible for contacting CEO's of assigned companies to thank them for past support, help identify goals and solicit continued support, as well as assisting campaign staff with developing and organizing elements of employee campaigns.

United Way Fox Cities Youth Board

The Youth Board is responsible for awading grants to youth-oriented programs in the Fox Cities.  Youth Board members are students from high schools in the United Way Fox Cities service area.  The Youth Board provides its members with opportunities to increase their involvement, knowledge and understanding of the community investment process.  Through guest speakers, involvement in service-learning projects and general discussions, Youth Board members explore issues affecting today's youth in our community.

Financial and Audit Review Committee

Committee members review partner agency audits, management letters, 990 forms and mid-year reports on an annual basis.  The volunteers provide a concise summary of an agency's financial position to the United Way Impact Areas and act an an advisor to the Impact Areas as needed.  Special requirement:  certified public accountants.
