Dear Santa,
Thank you for all of your wonderful gifts this past year. We are grateful for important new services in the Fox Cities such as the Boys & Girls Club in Menasha and the Community Early Learning Center in Appleton. Both are very special locations serving children and their families in our community.
This past year has also had its challenges. We’ve witnessed too much violence. The threat of terrorism at home and war in other lands is very distressing. Locally, more of our friends and neighbors are living hand-to-mouth and struggle to make ends meet. Despite these issues or perhaps because of them, we’ve seen our community come together to help those in need.
For the coming year, I ask that you bring us the understanding that together, we can all build a better community. I know we will need more food for the hungry, more blankets for the homeless shelters, more citizens involved in community service and yes, more dollars for the valuable work of the nonprofits in our area.
Thanks again for the blessings and joys we are fortunate to have here in the Fox Cities. I wish you a safe holiday and happiness throughout the New Year.

Your Friend,
Peter Kelly
