Born Learning Trail 2017

United Way Fox Cities Emerging Leaders volunteer to build a new Born Learning Trail at Appleton Memorial Park.

As a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, or godparent, you may have marveled at how quickly kids grow. One day, you are welcoming a new baby, a year later you are steadying a toddler's first steps. Many of the changes kids go through are noticeable, but how often do you think about the changes you can’t see? For instance, you might be astounded to know that 90% of brain development occurs by age five. Those early years set the stage for the rest of a child’s life.

United Way Fox Cities Emerging Leaders are passionate about making sure all children have opportunities to boost early language and literacy skills. This Saturday, you are invited to the FREE celebration of a new Born Learning Trail at Appleton Memorial Park. Bring your little ones to explore the trail, including interactive stations with tips and tools to engage their young brains in play-based learning activities. Get ready for a great morning with a ribbon cutting, book giveaway (while supplies last), and Moove to the Groove with Rhex Arboleda!
