2019 Campaign Awards & Recognition
Each year, we recognize individuals and teams who show outstanding leadership in their company's United Way campaign in the categories of small employer (under 150 employees), medium employer (151-499 employees), and large employer (500 or more employees).
Menasha Corporation experienced an employee pledging increase of over 11%. Nearly 50% of their employees participated, and overall averaging giving increased by over 18%. Congratulations to President & CEO Jim Kotek, United Way Champions Kelly Ulmen, Lisa Sharrat and team, and everyone at Menasha Corporation.
GLK Foods employee participation increased by 45%. Employee participation was 72.3%, with 136 employees giving out of 188. Congratulations to CEO Ryan Downs, United Way Champion Jacci (pronounced Jackie) Carlson and everyone at GLK Foods
Galloway Company increased their total giving by 8.6%, with their total employee participation rate at 79%. Their 2019 campaign total was over $104,499, with only 118 employees. Congratulations to CEO Tim Galloway, United Way Champions Amie Strange and Marcia Dobizl and everyone at Galloway Company!
Kimberly-Clark, our largest community supporter, has had years of fantastic achievements and wanted to inspire other companies to share in that success. In 2003, Kimberly-Clark created two traveling awards that recognize other companies conducting outstanding campaigns. These awards recognize companies for greatest increase of employee participation and greatest increase of employee giving.
The Kimberly-Clark Employee Participation Award
The participation Award is based on an increase in participation for companies with a minimum of 100 employees and 25% employee participation in the past year's campaign.
Festival Foods had participation of 69.5%, up 22.8% from 2018. When you consider that many of Festival’s 1108 employees make Festival their first job, this is especially inspiring as they set the stage for a lifetime of giving. Congratulations to everyone at the Northland, Darboy, Menasha and Neenah locations!
The Kimberly-Clark Employee Giving Award
The Giving Award is based on the percentage incrase in employee giving with a minimum of $20,000 raised the previous year.
U.S. Venture’s employee giving was up over 47% with a total employee pledges of $63,204. Congratulations to U.S. Venture, Champion Pam Swick, and everyone on the team!
United Way Fox Cities also recognizes the company with the largest increase in Leadership Giving and Emerging Leaders giving.

SECURA Insurance Companies
In 2019, SECURA had nearly 9% growth in employee giving, driven in part by their strong Emerging Leaders Growth, which increased by over 42%; from 56 in 2018 to 80 in 2019! Thanks to Dave Gross, CEO, and champions Rylan Bartz, Briana Garvey, and Matthew Stindt.

Miron Construction Co., Inc.'s number of Leadership level donors jumped over 27%; from 33 givers in 2018 to 42 this year! Leadership Giving at Miron increased by 33% totaling over $112,000. SCHEELS has shown stead increases during their campaigns every year. They also focus on keeping employees engaged throughout the year. Whether taking part in a United Way Books for Kids pack or partnering with the Timber Rattlers to distribute books, this company keeps United Way at the top of their philanthropic support and shares the message of LIVE UNITED with the community.
