Josh Kilgas joined the United Way team last winter - first in the 2-1-1 Call Center, then as a Resource Development Officer.

This year, I helped run my first United Way Community Campaign. As we wrap up a successful 2013 campaign, it gives me a moment to take a breath and reflect. (But not for long; we're already gearing up for the 2014 campaign!)

I've been at United Way Fox Cities for a little over a year now. I had the pleasure of spending some time working with the 2-1-1 Call Center prior to taking on the role of Resource Development Officer. I'm proud to work for this organization, and to work with such an incredible community.

Thank you to everyone who has helped to make 2013's campaign a success. This isn't a success for United Way itself, but for the community in which it serves. Approximately 100,000 people will be helped by a United Way Fox Cities program in 2014. This not only improves the lives of the people who are directly served, but makes the community better for everyone. As John F. Kennedy said, "A rising tide lifts all boats."

These achievements would not have been possible without you. The philanthropic nature of the Fox Cities continues to astound me. So many of you donated your time, energy, expertise and yes, made gifts.

I look forward to working on this year's campaign and ask you to join us again so together we can make 2014 even better for the Fox Cities!

You can join us this year - GIVE, ADVOCATE, VOLUNTEER and LIVE UNITED!
