Do you want to be more active? Do you
want your kids to have an active, healthy summer? Use the Weight of
the Fox Valley's Passport to Active Living as the beginning of a
new journey!
Join us at the upcoming Passport to Active Living Kickoff on
Monday, June 1, 2015 from 11 a.m. to noon. We invite you,
along with residents throughout the Fox Valley, to gather in the
Town of Menasha's Fritse Park for a community walk across the
Trestle Trail Bridge. RSVP today.
The Passport to Active Living encourages community
members to get active by exploring our beautiful local parks and
trails. The Passport challenge runs June 1st to September
30th, 2015. In order to take part in the challenge, you need to
stamp your passport each time you are physically active - walking,
jogging, running, biking, etc…you choose what's right for
you. By logging at least 15 minutes three times a
week for twelve weeks, you will become eligible for a
mid-challenge prize (everyone gets one!) and a grand prize
drawing!
If you cannot attend the Passport Kick Off, but still want a copy
of the passport, contact Keren Rosenberg, Program Manager,
while supplies last.
(Please Note: The Trestle Trail Bridge was selected as the
kick-off site weeks before the tragedy on May 3rd. During the
event, we will observe a moment of silence for the shooting
victims. We believe now, more than ever, we should gather
together at Fritse Park to kick-off this community-wide
initiative.)
Let's kick off a healthy summer together! We hope to see you
there!
