Last Thursday, United Way Fox Cities hosted our annual Campaign Celebration, an evening to celebrate the success of our community campaign and recognize all our volunteers’ great work this year. I’m pretty new to the United Way team and the Fox Cities, so this was my first of these wrap up events. I knew I would enjoy it before it even happened – just look at the name! It truly was a night of fun, laughter and community.

Much of the night was spent honoring organizations who went above and beyond to increase their investment in United Way for the coming year (see photos from the event here). Our team works with over 300 companies across the Fox Cities, whose volunteers put in hours of effort to run campaigns. Every organization does it a little differently, but the common thread is a consistent drive to mobilize employees to improve lives in our community.

While not every organization receives an award, it was a joy to host our many partners, supporters, and volunteers for an evening to say thank you.

In my short time here, I’ve been so impressed with this community’s ability to rally together around common goals and create lasting change for the better. To each of the individuals who helped us not only meet, but exceed, our campaign goal – thank you. Each one of you makes a difference.

And in the spirit of thank you’s, huge shout outs to Kimberly-Clark for sponsoring the event and the team at the Timber Rattlers for their incredible hospitality.

We’ll be recognizing all the award winners in the next couple weeks on Facebook – be sure to check back!
