United Way Fox Cities staff has taken the pledge. Will you?

It’s New Year resolution time! Weight of the Fox Valley has some great ideas and motivation for you as you consider your goals for 2017...

  1. Take the Pledge. United Way Fox Cities employees have taken the Weight of the Fox Valley Pledge, will you join us? Taking the pledge is simple – and that’s the beauty of it. A pledge is an attainable health goal, for example, choosing water over soda or going to a YMCA class three times a week. These little steps will help make reaching your bigger goal much easier. Print the pledge sign from our website, take a photo of you with the sign, and send your photo and pledge to us –  you could be featured in our next newsletter, or on our Facebook page or website! Check out these pledges for inspiration:

    Lalu, Beré, Resource Development Officer at United Way Fox Cities: "I took the pledge to eat only healthy snacks."

    Rachel Podoski, Research and Evaluation Coordinator at United Way Fox Cities: "I took the pledge to reduce sugar intake by limiting portion sizes of sweet treats."

    Lisa Smith, United Way 2-1-1 Manager: "I took the pledge to skate once a week and inspire my coworkers at United Way Fox Cities to join me."

    Toni Schinke, Organizational Development Assistant at United Way Fox Cities: "I took the pledge to journal my intake to improve and balance my portions. It is working so far...I've lost 30 pounds!"

  2. Inspire others! Post a picture or tell us your favorite way to stay active during the winter on the Weight of the Fox Valley's Facebook page, and you'll be entered to win a $35 MasterCard gift card. This contest will continue throughout the month and a winner will be announced at the beginning of February. Thank you for those of you who have already posted photos on Facebook.
