Don’t let the cold weather keep you inside! Get your family out of the house with the United Way Fox Cities Emerging Leaders. The Emerging Leaders are planning some very cool things in January and February. Everyone is welcome to join the networking, fun, and games at these upcoming family-friendly events:
- On Thursday, January 25, the Emerging Leaders are hosting a social hour at the Appleton Public Library. The evening begins at 5:00 p.m. in the Children’s Services Rooms A&B. An overview of the Reach Out and Read program will be held at 5:30 p.m. and then at 6:00 p.m. there will be a 45-minute program put on by the library. Please bring your kids, and enjoy this free family-friendly social hour. This event is open to all Emerging Leaders as well as those who are interested in learning more about United Way’s Emerging Leaders program. Please RSVP if you plan to attend the library social hour.
- The Emerging Leaders Valentine's Family Festival is open to the public and will be held on Saturday, February 10, from 9:30 a.m. to noon, at Maplewood Middle School in Menasha. This event is the culmination of our Emerging Leaders putting in months of planning to provide a memorable day for children ages 2-12. There will be games, cookie decorating, arts & crafts, photo booth, face painting, balloon animals, and a book giveaway (while supplies last). Healthy snacks will be provided. Admission is free, we only ask that children be accompanied by an adult. No registration is required for the Valentine's Family Festival. Download the Valentine's Family Festival poster for additional details or to share the event with others.
We hope to see you at one or both of these events!
