EL Blog

Have you wondered how you can be more involved in our community? United Way Fox Cities Emerging Leaders (recommended for age 40 and under) is always looking for those who want to make an impact where we live, work, and play. This group is the next generation of leaders dedicated to making an impact on the community through service and philanthropy. The group started in 2008 with nine people and has grown to 1,000. Over the years, they have collectively contributed over $5.5 million to United Way’s efforts to build a stronger, more caring community for everyone.

So, what is Emerging Leaders all about? The opportunities offered focus on personal and professional development through a Leadership Series, lunch and learns, networking, and social events. Emerging Leaders are engaged in and support the community through volunteer opportunities including the annual Valentine’s Family Festival that promotes literacy, serving dinner at Pillars or Youth Go and putting up siding on a house for Habitat for Humanity. This group thrives on making a difference in the lives of those they touch.

Ready to get involved? Grab your campaign pledge form and make an annual gift of $500 or more. Next, fill in your birthdate check the Emerging Leaders box on that pledge form. Once United Way Fox Cities receives your contact information, you will be added to our database and will begin receiving information specific to Emerging Leaders events, volunteer opportunities, and much more.
