Celebrating collaboration, success, and community
Thursday, January 30, 2020
As a record crowd of over 250 United Way Fox Cities’ supporters, donors, and partners gathered at Fox Cities Stadium yesterday evening, excitement and energy filled the room.
The generosity and steadfast commitment of the Fox Cities community continues to drive the work of United Way. Funds are invested directly into more than 100 programs including the people and their caretakers affected by dementia through the Fox Valley Memory Project, after-school programs at the Boys and Girls Clubs, and families in shelter at Pillars, to name a few. Funds also support United Way’s 2-1-1, Fox Cities Diaper Bank, and Providing Access to Healing for Students (PATH).
As a table-drumroll filled the room, we joyfully celebrated the announcement of our community’s accomplishment raising $8.75 million through the campaign.
We also recognized many local companies who displayed leadership in their United Way campaign. Congratulations to the award recipients and thank you for your passion for United Way.
We concluded the evening by announcing the winner of the United Way sweepstakes car and kayak package generously donated by Bergstrom Automotive. Teri Kopish, a first-time donor, working at The Community Blood Center was presented the keys to a 2019 Chevy Trax and kayak.
Special thanks to Kimberly-Clark for sponsoring our celebration and the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers for being gracious hosts. We extend a thank you to our volunteer leaders:
- Jim Kotek and Kim Underhill, Campaign Co-chairs
- Dave G. Voss, Jr., Leadership Giving Chair
- Nicole Mertes, Emerging Leaders Chair
Most of all, we thank our donors. Your donation of time, talent and money allows us to impact 1 in 3 people and build a stronger, more caring community for all.
